Joel graduated from California State University, Fresno, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – Accountancy Option in 1998. In 2006, he graduated from Golden Gate University with a Master of Science in Taxation.
In 2004, he joined Daniells Phillips Vaughan & Bock and became a partner in 2012. Joel served as the department head of Tax Department for many years. In 2023 Joel was appointed to the position of Managing Partner.
Joel started his career with a large local firm in Fresno and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2001. Joel’s experience includes tax planning and compliance primarily for closely held partnerships and corporations as well as individuals. He has experience in a variety of industries including real estate, construction, agriculture, wholesale, retail, and professional services.
Joel is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has previously held several positions as the state and local level for the California Society of Certified Public Accountants including President of the Bakersfield Chapter and Chair of the Bakersfield Chapter Taxation Committee. Currently, Joel serves at the Treasurer and Trustee for the Mendiburu Magic Foundation, Treasurer for the Scott Kirschenmann Family Foundation, and Treasurer for the Kern Agricultural Foundation. He was a member of the Leadership Bakersfield Class of 2014.

Nancy graduated from Lycoming College of Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. She joined Daniells Phillips Vaughan & Bock in 1984, was promoted to manager of the accounting and auditing department in 1986, and was admitted as a partner in 1989. In 2014 Nancy was appointed to the position of Managing Partner, and served in this role until June 2023. Nancy’s many years in public accounting include a vast amount of accounting and auditing experience in various industries including construction, agriculture, wholesale, retail, pension plans, governmental and non-profit organizations.
Nancy is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the National Association of Professional Women. She has served on the Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards Committee at the State level and the Governmental Accounting and Auditing Committee at the local chapter level.
Nancy is active in community affairs having served in officer roles on the Boards of Goodwill Industries of Kern County and the Kern Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Patrick Paggi graduated from California State University Sacramento in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science Degree, and a concentration in accounting.
Patrick was granted his CPA license in 1989. He began his employment with Daniells Phillips Vaughan and Bock in 1993. He was promoted to the position of Manager with the Firm’s Audit and Accounting department and in August 2001 became a partner. Patrick served as the partner in charge of the firm’s Audit and Accounting department in addition to also serving as the firm’s Chief Financial Officer.
Patrick’s expertise falls in the category of low income housing partnerships, non-profits, light manufacturers, construction contractors and employee benefit plans.
Patrick is a Member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a Past President of the local chapter. In addition, he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Community service involvement current and past includes the Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary Club, American Cancer Society, Italian Heritage Dante Association, Goodwill Industries of South Central California, Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners Club and the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra.

Shannon M. Webster graduated from California State University, Bakersfield in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in accounting. Shannon was granted her CPA license in 2004. She began her employment with Daniells Phillips Vaughan & Bock in 2000 as an intern. Shannon now has over 25 years of audit and accounting experience, working in a variety of industries including agriculture, construction, manufacturing, employee benefit plans as well as governmental and nonprofit organizations. In July 2026 Shannon was named as the partner in charge of the firm’s Audit and Accounting Services Department and serves as the Firm’s Treasurer.
She was admitted as a partner in July 2018.
Shannon is active in the community, currently serving as an advisor to the finance committee for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children). Shannon is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Shannon hails from a racing family. She was introduced to the sport when her parents encouraged her to race Quarter Midgets at the age of six. In 40+ years of racing, she has compiled a long list of wins and was the first female driver to win multiple national championships in the Midget Division.

Stephanie graduated from California State University, Bakersfield in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 2001 and spent the first 17 years of her accounting career with a national accounting firm.
Stephanie joined Daniells Phillips Vaughan & Bock in 2014 and was admitted as a partner in 2018.
Stephanie’s experience includes assisting small to mid-size businesses and their owners with income tax planning and compliance in a variety of industries including healthcare, agriculture, real estate, oil service, construction, and professional service industries.
Stephanie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Stephanie is also a graduate of the Leadership Bakersfield Class of 2014.

Salvador Saavedra graduated from California State University, Bakersfield in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in accounting. Salvador was granted his CPA license in 2013.

Salvador’s experience includes assisting businesses and their owners with income tax planning and compliance in a variety of industries including healthcare, wholesale, agriculture, real estate, oil service, and professional service industries.
Salvador is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has previously held several positions at the state and local levels for the California Society of Certified Public Accountants including President of the Bakersfield Chapter and Chair of the Bakersfield Chapter Taxation Committee. Currently, Salvador serves as past chairman of the board for the Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Salvador pursues an active lifestyle through strength training, running, and cycling. He has participated in a variety of local endurance events, including the Bakersfield Half Marathon, Mr. Toad’s Wild Run, the Volkslauf, the Marine Corps 10K Mud Run, and Mud Factor.

Nate started his career with Daniells Phillips Vaughan & Bock as a tax department intern in 2013. Continuing with the firm after his first tax season, he went on to graduate from California State University, Bakersfield with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in 2014 before obtaining his CPA license in 2017 and his Master of Science in Taxation from DePaul University in 2021. He was admitted as a partner in the tax department in 2023.
Nate is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Public Accountants and has participated extensively in both the AICPA and Runner Alumni mentoring programs. Nate has also served as the President of the Board of Directors of CASA of Kern County.
Throughout his career, Nate has focused on tax planning and compliance for closely held partnerships and corporations in the industries of real estate, agriculture, and professional services. He strives to deliver high quality service founded on the core tenets of proactivity, communication, and authenticity.

Bre’s career with the firm began in 2017 as a tax intern, immediately preceding her graduation from California State University, Bakersfield, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Accounting. She obtained her CPA license in 2021 and was admitted as a Partner in the Audit Department in 2026.
Bre specializes in providing assurance services, with extensive experience leading reviewed and audited financial statements for clients across the nonprofit, special district, real estate, and construction industries. Deeply invested in the firm’s culture, she serves as a dedicated mentor to colleagues at every level and plays a key role in the firm’s recruiting and student outreach initiatives.
Beyond her client work, Bre is active within the broader accounting community. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, where she previously served as a Director on the Board of the Bakersfield Chapter.
Outside of the office, Bre finds her greatest joy in spending time with her family—especially her nieces and nephews—and loves to unwind by practicing hand-lettering and cooking for her loved ones.
